Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

1994- A New Beginning

Preparing For Battle

We were married on Feb 6, 1994 Sunday night after church service.

My dad wanted us to pick him up after church and bring him to the wedding, but we had no time. We had planned it that way. He attended his first church service since he was a young boy!

The boys from my second marriage were not allowed to attend the festivities. Their mom made sure of it. They had to be returned by five o'clock that night in the same town. I followed the law, and didn't want the threat of 'contempt of court' looming over me.

Just the beginning of the nightmares that were to follow in a nasty divorce/Marital Settlement Agreement , lasting for over twenty six years!

After we were united in marriage, we drove my parents home and my dad had prepared a turkey for us to have on our honeymoon! It was an amazing and we devoured it!

The marital bliss couldn't last long as my ex would be pounding on our door at 6:00 am Monday morning! screaming that we forgot to send one of the boys coat and she was going to buy one and bring me the bill for reimbursement. I informed her that the van was unlocked and just grab it and go. Didn't happen. She exclaimed to my wife that "she would destroy me and anyone that got in her path!" We were not prepared for this battle with evil, but we kept trudging on!

God would show up with more miracles and wonders on several occasions in that time, bringing us, our children, and families a hedge of protection, like we had never seen before! Job 1:9

God's Grace is sufficient for us! His mercy and love  are overwhelming

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

James1:2-4
