Prophecy

i heard god's voice again!

Once you hear the voice of God, you never forget it! This was the second time!

1 Corinthians 14:3: “But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.”

My best friend talked me into attending a revival service in Marion, IL. It was an hour and half drive, and I had nothing better to do so I jumped in his car and off we went. Luke was a young kid on fire for Jesus! He clung to me like a Kevlar vest. He knew I was an emotional wreck and did everything in his power to keep me alive and filled with God's Word and Jesus Love! We prayed and listened to Carman all the way down. We arrived at an old abandoned grocery store filled with metal folding chairs occupied by folks dancing and shouting! There were a hundred chairs or so and as luck would have it,  two left in the very back. Luke and I settled in and a man of God continued sharing The Word. Then it happened, He stopped preaching and started a slow walk toward the back. I knew he was aiming his sights on me. I've since realized that when God sets His sights on you, you cannot hide! He asked me to stand up. I was totally embarrassed, but I reluctantly did what he asked. He put his hands on my head and said "God wants you to know that He has seen your sadness, He is preparing for you a helpmeet." The man of God then turned and went  back to the front of this makeshift church and began to preach again.

I was completely bewildered! I had never seen this man in my life, and have never seen him since! But he spoke prophecy over me, but I didn't understand. The man was being obedient to God. He didn't do that to anyone else that night. Just me! Luke heard the whole thing, smiled and said " Well what do ya know brother, we were supposed to be here tonight. Isn't God so good!"

Hebrews 4:12-13 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

If this prophecy was meant for no other reason than to lift me up and give me hope, it worked! I was finally beginning to recognize the Holy Spirit's Voice! I had no idea what a "helpmeet" was so I came home and looked it up :a helpmate; spouse [Helpmeet was derived from a misreading in the King James Bible where God promises Adam “to make a help meet for him,” meaning a help.

After two divorces, that was the last thing on my mind!  That was me, but I was trying to learn more. So I did as Mary had done in Luke 2,  and pondered these things in my heart.

A couple months later, I would discover what The Holy Spirit was getting at!
