God's Voice: Third Time Is A Charm!
Mount Vernon, IL Winter 1993 I was attending a revival service at Pleasant Grove Church of God in Mt. Vernon, IL with our youth group. During the service, the same bright light that appeared a year ago and told me to "Take out the garbage!" appeared once again and created a halo behind this beautiful young woman! I could not believe my eyes! The voice spoke again and said, "This is your helpmeet that I have been preparing for you!"
What? I had not a clue what was going on, but you have to admit this is quite a coincidence. Remember the man of God in Marion? I was pondering that in my heart, but God was confirming it with the same voice that saved my life in the basement!
John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, 15just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.
I thought this is so strange because there she was standing there with another gentleman, smiling and carrying on a conversation with the pastor David Mays and his wife. Who knew? As God would have it, funny as it seems, that man soon was to become my new father in law!
We became friends soon after but God arranged it.
From that point on, I began to tune my ears and learn to discern the beautiful voice of God! A New Beginning!
